I have over 10 years experience working in primary schools, KS1 and KS2, intervention groups and main class teaching. In addition to my core KS2 maths and English teaching, one of my strengths is my passion and ability to make cross curriculum links to reinforce concepts and purpose.
A key motivator for me, is the breaking down barriers of learning to enable equity for all students and with personal and professional experience of neurodiversity, I focus on the importance of individual, student-centric learning. I take time to understand how my students learn best in order to maximise effectiveness and for them to develop as independent, confident learners.
I endeavour to make learning active, meaningful and fun, using a variety of techniques to engage and develop a love of learning and inspire curiosity.
I have two teenage children who have enabled me much foresight of the increasingly high expectations put upon our children socially and academically. They have also allowed me the hindsight of much personal reflection and of how I could have always done things better!
"I'm so pleased with how my daughter is getting on with in tutor sessions with Carole. Carole is wonderful; she is incredible kind, patient and funny. My daughter is really enjoying working with her and is already feeling more confident. Thank you so much for putting us in touch, it's all working brilliantly!" (Mum of a Year 6 child)
