I am an experienced teacher who is passionate about facilitating learning for children and encouraging them to have self belief. I think it is important to enable children to be able to draw on a variety of strategies and to help them develop their confidence when approaching their learning.

I have been in education for nearly 30 years and have had teaching experience from Nursery aged children to KS3. The settings I have worked at include inner city primary, state and private, intervention groups, tutoring and I am currently working as a teacher in a SEND school. I was the Head of Art for a number of years too and love to bring in creativity to the subjects I teach.

I have three teenage children of my own that have or are going through their A Levels and beyond that have experienced their own worries and struggles with learning due to ADHD, dyslexia and neurodiversities. This has led me to have an understanding of the different kinds of support children need at different stages of their lives.

I plan lessons that build knowledge and develop confidence and resilience. I am very adaptable and like to be creative by using a wide variety of resources and approaches to ensure learning is informative but also packed full of awe and wonder.
